Reynolds, USAF Colonel, (Stargate SG-1)
Hel-loooo, have you met me? I love no other secondary character as much as I love Reynolds! He's everything a supporting character should be: smart and competent, delightfully snarky, and he takes all the alien wackiness in stride. He looks good in a uniform, and carries a big gun - what's not to love?
Roslin, Laura (Battlestar Galactica)
Roslin has always been one of my favorite characters in BSG, and as the show lost its focus in season 3, she remained one of the bright spots. She's so steely at times, and then broken and weak, and then warm and compassionate. In a show that is all about human emotion and what it means to be human, I think she embodies "human" best.
R2-D2 (Star Wars)
Who doesn't love the little guy? Anyone who can put up with decades of whinny masters and robot companions should get a medal. There's no one I'd rather have around when I'm trying to open a locked door to an Imperial bunker, or if I need all the garbage compactors on the detention level shut down right now.
Ringwraith, The (The Lord of the Rings)
That scene in the LOTR movie when Aragorn is telling the hobbits about how the Ringwraith will never sleep, never stop hunting them... yeah, that part is awesome. Eeeeeevils!
Ronon Dex (Stargate Atlantis)
Everyone's favorite space yeti! Ronon kicks ass, true story, but it's his awesome relationships with the other members of his team that I love best. And I adore his gun/blaster. ;)
