Oh yeah, you've been gone too long
OMG, back from 4 days away from teh Interwebs, and my flist is like skip = 2 zillion. Thank God for filters! I think I've managed to catch up on the personal journals - I may not have commented on anything, but I read! You were all very thinky about Dr. Horrible and SGA and, well, in
kalquessa's case, about shoes and nail polish. ;) And I see that
sjhw_tolerance has fallen for Deadliest Catch, w00t! Good job, flist. I approve of everything!
I went to a wedding on Friday, which was a whole lot of fun (mostly because I got to wear the dress and I received tons of compliments, yay!). Spent the rest of the weekend at my parents' place, so I got to play in the garden, and pick wild blackberries, and just generally enjoy the woods and the perfect summer weather.
I really don't have much to say about Dr. Horrible, except that I loved it. "The hammer is my penis." will NEVER EVER stop being funny; neither will "His terrible death whinny." I am irked at myself (like everyone it seems) for forgetting that it's JOSS FRICKIN' WHEDON, OF COURSE IT WOULD END THAT WAY. Mostly, I think I was lured in by the hilarity of the first two parts. Ah well.
I wasn't going to say anything about SGA, but then
* They kinda opened the door for tentacle!p0rn now, didn't they?
* And, Keller/McKay is pretty darn cute, even though I love me some McShep.
* Speaking of Sheppard, he seems... waaaaay too complacent about Wolsey. Is it because he's already used to the idea from his trip to the future? He's distracted by the thought that his boyfriend could really hook up with Keller? Bad acting on Teh Flan's part? Bad script? Yeah, OK, bad script.
* WHO THE HELL DID PAUL MCGILLION'S DYE JOB?!?! Or is that a side effect of the Ancient freezer? (Though Jack's hair was unchanged, I think he came out hotter than ever, so maybe it just varies from person to person.
* Am I the only one who wanted to see Lorne when they said he was showing symptoms? Tentacle!Lorne!
* "Growing" a hive ship was kinda nifty. So does it always require a starter, um, being? You know, to act as the brain? Or maybe the wraith can detach from the tentacles more successfully. Didn't we see an episode where there was a Queen all covered in tentacles?
* I totally called it about Michael giving himself the Ancient gene and flying the jumper away.
Hmmm, I guess I had more to say than I thought.
Oh man, and sometime the
mcshep_match fic reveals went up, so now I have a ton of fic to read, plus I'm behind by a couple of parts of
annerbhp's WIP. Any other fic that I just *have* to read?
