PSA the First: Joss Whedon's Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
During the WGA strike Joss Whedon started writing a three part musical series for the internet. “It’s the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to.” says Whedon.
“Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” will star Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, Felicia Day as Penny.
FYI: I haven't seen part 1 yet, as we fans have managed to totally crash their server. You can get it on iTunes for $1.99/episode. I may go this route, because hey, I'm all for supporting Joss. This fan site has updated news, but they're seeing a lot of traffic too. YMMV.

PSA the Second: HBO's Generation Kill mini-series
Based on Evan Wright's book of the same title (see my review of the book here), this mini-series follows the First Recon Marines through their sweep of Baghdad in the early days of OIF.
Sundays, 9 PM through August 24th.
I don't have HBO (waaah!) so I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD. The first episode aired on Sunday, so those of you with On Demand should be able to catch it again. It looks really good, and the website is awesome. Actually, go check it out - a bunch of companies are donating products to deployed troops, but you can help send even more. Just pick a product from the list and they'll send it in your name, w00t!
