exasperated
I was having dinner today with my mom, a lil cuz and beloved brother,(just kidding) having a nice conversation with my inquisitive guest. When my elder brother at first asks the little guy to shut up politely( an you not talk on the dinner table), and when he retorts, why shouldn’t he talk, the elder one says, just because it is not good to talk over the dinner table ( how dare you ask me that you lil prick). What has happened to indian values, since generations the notion has been passed down that it is not nice to talk while dining. When else can we find time, when all family together, very few families have time devoted especially to converse or just to hang out. so when does one get the time, over the dinner table. Hope it starts making sense to my kins too.
