“And then you will be assigned here.” Your boss handed you a paper. “Be good and don’t make me fail okay? I’m sorry I can’t attend to that photo shoot; my wife is giving birth. I’m counting on you.” He gently tapped your shoulder as the phone rings, “Excuse me for a while.”
“Oh shit.” were the only things that came out of your mouth. You’ve been dreaming of having something like this for a long time and there it is, right infront of you, waving. “I’m gonna be the photographer for the next edition of Myojo?” You thought about fainting, but stopped at the thought that you’re still at your boss’ office.
Then the fateful day came. It came faster than expected; you dressed with extra effort, you came earlier than the call time; you informed your friends about the news and you got everyone’s envy. You have every idea ready.
“Good Afternoon.” A chorus of voices echoed the studio and your heart leaped, excitedly, you stand up and greeted them back. You got everything planned accordingly; being incoherent isn’t in your vocabulary.
“Make-up and wardrobe please get them ready.” You made the tone of your voice nicer and more polite-reflecting your mood. The set is perfect, the lighting is perfect and your concept is perfect. A bench for the first set and on it, you’ll shoot your favorite pairing in the group. You smirk at the thought.
“They’re ready!” A person from the wardrobe yelled; a signal for you to get into action.
“Okay, in position please!” They followed your orders and you positioned behind the lens-the usual job.
“Please be comfortable with your poses; I want everything to look casual and light yet romantic.”
“Romantic?” One from the pair answered your favorite among them.
“Oh, I said that? Haha. I mean, be romantic, for the fans.” You shoot casually, then after some shots, you crumple your face on purpose.
“What’s the problem?” One of them asked, “Did it come out fine?”
“Tsk, that’s the problem. You’ve already done this before. I’m sorry we have to reshoot everything starting from frame one. Please cooperate with me.” You turn your back, making a yes gesture in your hand.
“Okay, please sit closer to each other.” You hold the camera infront of your face, “1,2, good!”
“Please hold his hand like that and lean on his shoulder.”
“HA?”
“Please do what I’ve said, thank you.”
Then you took several shots of it, “Please don’t be stiff.”
“Now, I want you to pretend that you’re whispering something to his ear.”
“We won’t do that!” The pair said in unison.
“Do you want to get this over or what? Please be professional, the theme is asking for it.”
They both scratch their heads but did exactly what you wanted.
“Okay, were almost finished~ you’re both doing great so far. But there’s just one thing I need you both to do…”
“What would that be?”
“Kiss.”
