its that time of the year for reflection and all that, i figure now is as good a time as any...
i shall do this in list form - this is done in no particular order, just a list of why 2007 was pretty sweet.
amy's list of awesome shit that happened in 2007
+ iceland - this will be a story i tell my grandchildren. it was amazing. i'm going back.
+ spending some serious time with my one true beffy - she knows who she is. i love this girl like the sister i never had [even if we continually get asked if we are actually sisters]. thanks for continuing to be the most awesome & bad ass partner in crime ever.
+ seeing friends i miss like crazy and never get to see - you know its been awesome when weekends are filled with smiles and bullshitting and nearly peeing yerself with laughter never gets old.
+ music.music.music. - my all. the bands i fell in love with, the songs i fell in love with, sweet smell of wham! on vinyl, and all the shows i've seen this year, the good and the bad [ugh], i believe my love of music has grown exponentially this year.
+ my family still being around and still dysfunctional as ever - as much as i bitch about my family being absolutely insane and wishing "home alone"-style to be left alone, sometimes we have fun. sometimes being the key word in that sentence.
+ getting to know my brother as a friend and not just the brat who's two years younger than me - he's a pretty insightful kid. its scary as hell. who saw that one coming?
+ rafting - i went rafting on the delaware twice this year. TWICE! two whole days where i came out of my indoor lair and spent some quality time with friends and family. AND had fun while doing it...even if we did almost die the first time.
+ got tattooed for the first time - that was pretty sweet. and addicting. merry christmas to amy, i'm getting more in the new year! thanks mom & dad!
+ i'm employed & i'm alive.
i read last year's entry for january 1st and i said 2007 was going to be just as amazing as 2006, if not more. i'd say that i achieved it. job well done! 2008 = another amazing year. i guarantee it. big things will happen! big things i say!
now i get to look forward to laughs, friends and road tripping for new year's. best wishes out to everyone - i hope 2008 is amazing for each and everyone of you. life is beautiful, enjoy it.
