In the last, er... slightly over a month, I officially made my online début as a fanartist (so to speak) by posting my first three publicly shared pieces of work
( Read more... )
If I did, I would love one with Snape and Lucius (if you can't stand to slash them, I'd settle for them glaring at each other or something. *g*) or else J/N from PotC ...oooh, Han and Leia, maybe! (The Star Wars bug just bit me. =P)
it does indeed seem like you're the first to comment. yey!
now, i'd love to draw you han and leia... but i don't think i can: it wouldn't seem fair, since everyone else only got to choose from my four main fandoms. some other time, though, gladly. *g*
snape/lucius, on the other hand, i can definitely do. i don't mind drawing pairings i don't ship, even ones that squick me* -- as long as it's something i can actually draw. so no worries. :D
*same goes for writing, if it's something short like a drabble. i don't think i could write a full story about a pairing i dislike or have zero interest in, though... if for no other reason, just because i'd have trouble visualizing it well enough to be able to put together a proper fic.
and... yeah, weirdly enough, that's actually what i thought it was. i guess that's because that is the threesome i'm used to seeing, as opposed to jack/gillette/groves, so my mind just substituted it with that.

i take it you like him now?
you know, it's funny you mention it: i was just* having this discussion with galadhir in one of Bill's threads, where she was explaining exactly what she likes about gillette, and it kinda made me see him in a positive (or at least, non-ick-worthy) light for the absolute firstest time ever.
i mean, i've never been a gillette fan, but hearing people say stuff like "he may not be as bad as the movie makes him seem" has always made me like him even less...
*"just" meaning several days ago, of course, because i am such a flake at answering comments**

I do. =)
It's galadhir's fault in my case, too. She also plays a positively brilliant Gillette at naval_like. I always just considered him to be "that flare-nostriled lieutenant who looks like he just smelled something foul."
I never really liked Gillette before, but it's difficult to argue with galadhir's reasoning... and then the whole brilliant RP thing again.
[ the other lieutenant ]supes_March 31 2006, 21:52:35 UTC
it is pretty good reasoning, i must admit. (and i have about a page-long comment on that matter -- that i never finished typing, thus haven't posted there yet -- too...)
the thing about gillette is... well, even if one does not consider him honorable -- which i'm pretty sure i still don't, quite -- it's good to just, you know, see him for who he is instead of trying to whitewash over it. i can certainly enjoy a guy being an unapologetic self-righteous ass (at least in the 'love to hate' way, as i was saying to galadhir) as long as everyone's honest about it.
...oh yes, and brilliant roleplaying never hurts things either. ;)

OH MY GUH, gillette is the male narcissa malfoy!! *falls over*

And tis fine. I'll hold Han and Leia on reserve for the next time the chance arises for nifty fan art. ^_^
Yee! My two favorite pretty boys men from the series! XD woot.
=)
I can understand that. I wrote somebody a J/G/G drabble before I was ever remotely a Gillette fan.

And I so totally missed that you limited the drawble to four fandoms when I read through the post, so that was completely my fault.
