ok, so last night i picked up roxanne and amanda to got greensboro for the he is legend/ idea of beauty show. picked up sydni, went to the show, ok so zach can't like see at all when his contacts start drying up, i've been to ace's basement only one time b4 and so it was like hell where is it? and they kept pointing it out, we went by it like 3 times b4 i'm finally like ok got it this time. blah. so i used some saline in the car went to the show, it rocked. the lead singer of idea of beauty fell off the speakers like right into amanda and me and it was fucking cool. then the lead singer of he is legend like picks roxie out of the crowd and like plays with her hair and shit, the guy was so fucking mesmorizing (sp?) it was a damn good show. then back to syd's for the night, bed time kids.
like on the way home i'm driving all careful like i should since the roads are all iced and like this idiot like slams on his breaks going over the bridge and slides out, so of course i do too to avoid slamming into him, just in general a bad thing. like honestly i hate driving in ice bc the van is top heavy, has front wheel drive, and in general is just not suited for the cold weather. the heater takes a good hour to heat up enough to keep from freezing. blah.
i was thinking about something syd wrote, the world may not revolve around u but the circle sure as hell does. it was originally a joke like about the fact that there's a lot of drama lately, that i seem to be the cause of or whatever, and it was a clever remark, but i've kind of caught the more significant and kind of hidden insight in this, like when people make themselves the center of attention they do become it, for better or worst, people who talk about like their bf/gf and how shitty that is or how great it is (like amanda and leon, or the more obvious reference) then they will become that center of attention, although often times its not the type of attention they desire. amazing how something that was a joke can hold some bitterly clever insight, thats why i find it fascinating.
