new car

I got a new car and it rooooooocks. A 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit in Sage Green, fully loaded! Last Sunday I drove it right off the lot, to my parents house to pick up my bags from my other car, and drove straight to Seattle. I've been anticipating getting a new car for a while (well, since graduation, but due to a certain European vacation and a hectic work schedule, there hasn't really been time to "shop") but when we arrived at this particular dealership I was shocked to find out they even had a rabbit on the lot, much less a 2007, in the color I wanted, with all the options I desired. Jackpot. It was mine. His name is Henri (pronounced "Ahn-ree", in a genuine french accent).

I will post pictures soon, I hope. I always say that, but this time I think I mean it.

Everyone in the promotions department at work went to the Puyallup Fair this week. That was... strange. But fun. I'm not a big fair person, and I was unfamiliar with the Puyallup (it's a doozy!) unlike everyone else around here. I mean, it's a big freaking deal to people in this area, for those back home. Puyallup is this horrible little town, far away and in order to drive there you have to navigate freeways NOTORIOUS for traffic at all hours of the day. But as much as Seattleites hate traffic, I was shocked to see hordes of people flock to this fair. I MEAN FLOCK. This was no Clark County Fair people. I rode a big roller coaster (fun) and ate my very first Fisher scone (delicious!) and walked around (hot) and got stupid souvenirs (free - company money!). All on company time and money. And the Met Park promotions people joined us which made it an all around good time. I now have a very large button with a photo of a bunch of us to remember my magical day in Puyallup.
