Clothings and my brother
Yesterday thumbelinablues,thunderemerald and I went to a clothing swap! There was SAMMICHES made of chocolate and fruit and raffles in which I won lolarious bathstuff, but also clothes! It was absolutely tiny, but for all that I found lots of good things. I normally angst and obsess about getting rid of my clothes because I get overly attached to them, but I'd had this bagfull sitting ready to be given away/swapped for months so I wasn't quite as verklempt. Instead I got many many gray sweater-y things.
...Not exactly what I needed more of I hear you say? Butbut you don't understand! There were whole gray sweater/cardigans out there I did not yet have! Fixed now.
I also got a fabulous little strapless black dress - the kind people wear to work and also to a bar in the evening.
...But you don't go to an office and you don't really bar-inna evenings, I hear you cry.
Also I don't wear strapless dresses. So this could be interesting. I suspect it'll end up sitting in the back of my closet for a while, but oh lordy, it does look fabulous. Particularly when paired with one of the numerous BIG GRAY CARDIGAN.
In other news apparently one can list familial relationships on facebook. I know this because my brother listed me. I feel special.
If I were to have a 15 year old boy stay with me for a month next summer, what should I do with him? Do you know any 15 (ish) year olds he could hang out with? I want him to do the Public Shakespeare for teens workshop if at all possible, and maybe if Aquila is doing summer workshops? And concerts in the park and if I'm working on shows, he should help out with that (and maybe find him a bit part?) but socialising! I can't take him to bars, I don't know how my friends would feel about partying with him (though I promise he's cool), but more importantly would he like people his own age? Where would I find them?
