So I've signed up for Dreamwidth. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it; I think I want to use it as more than just a mirror and I know that while part of my rushing over there was just to grab my username while I could, I don't want to just be an annoying squatter. So...there may not be much value in friending me yet, but if you'd like to, my username is the same as it is here (and on twitter:).
In other news, I know that this is has been cycling around the internet, particularly thanks to BoingBoing, but it really is worth sharing. It's even potentially worth me learning how to embed a youtube video into my lj...if I can do that on a non paid account? Brb.

Oh, well, that was disappointingly easy. But seriously guys, you have to see this if you haven't. And if you have? Watch it again. It's fascinating from a sociological point of view, from an artistic point of view and from a marketing point of view. It's weird, but totally worthwhile. So why are you still reading this and not watching it?
Then discuss. What are your thoughts? I mean, definitely yay for promoting tolerance and I definitely cried a bit. But weird right? Wtf plot? Nicely shot definitely, but what precisely were they setting out to accomplish? I mean, yes, I would definitely go look for that bank if I needed one in Argentina, so as far as marketing goes it accomplished something. I also suspect it *might* make a person or two think about tolerance, so much as I'm surprised that that's something they wanted to accomplish, I guess they did? And I guess it does? So I think it's a combination of shock and...well, confusion about the ballerina statue that leaves me blinking. Good though, I think.
