Tech help!
Need advice:
I have an Adaptec ACS-200 enclosure for a Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 ATA drive. The power cord got losted a move or two ago. Adaptec no longer carries or supports this model because they has a mean.
So, I either need to figure out some other way of powering this sucker or getting a new enclosure. Could I find something that would power it through either USB 2.0 or Firewire (Ieee-1394) port? (It won't power just by computer). If not, what do people recommend as far as new enclosures go? Any thoughts? I do like having the firewire ability with this one, but my comp has USB 2.0 so it's not a necessity. Price is, of course, a big factor.
