Impeachment

Jun 10, 2008 10:48

Dennis Kucinich presented the articles of impeachment to George W. Bush. Will this go anywhere? Probably not. Should it? Hell yes.

Katrina, the Iraq war, deliberately deceiving the American public in an endeavour that cost American lives, deceiving the international community and costing their lives too, activities that could be considered war crimes- torture, wrongful imprisonment - and potentially our president as a war criminal.

Not to mention 9/11. I tend to steer clear of speaking about that; I don't think it should be used (as much as anything could not be) for real political gain. It was a tragedy and it said a lot about our country and of course people are going to talk about it and vote because of it. Now let's see the truth. Kucinich may be a little far out, but he has said - on the floor of the House - that the blood is on George W. Bush's hands. He had warning and did nothing. He has held a complete disregard for his citizen's lives in 9/11, in Katrina and in Iraq. Not to mention the relatively minor in comparison issue of falsifying elections and interfering with governmental procedure in the process thereof; which right there was enough to get Nixon impeached.

It may never go through, it may never go anywhere, but this needs attention. Post about it, call about it, email or call your congressmen and women. Be outraged. Pay attention. Don't let this go unnoticed - the way it almost seems it will be. We have just heard a litany of high crimes and misdemeanors that must not be ignored.
