Well it's been quite a crazy past month.
After I moved back down to the city in June, I didn't know what I was gonna do for work. I applied to lots of galleries and different places and nobody hired me. I decided to go back to the sunglass hut. I had to reapply and jump through all the hoops in order to get re-hired, and lo and behold- andrew my ex-boss just never called me back! I tried to get onto the show 'work of art' which is a competition for artists. Eric came with me, we waited in line for hours and showed my portfolio but they never called me back either. Then, i decided to follow up on an interview I had at the museum of modern art. I was really excited about that job and really wanted it so when they told me that they chose another candidate, I was very very disappointed. I literally broke down. I was so depressed like asking myself 'what am I going to do with my life?!' I just felt like nothing was working out for me.
SO, I decided to get ahold of Jenni again to ask her if she could hire me at all to work on her fashion line or anything at all because at that point, I was desperate. Thankfully, she got right back to me and asked if I would work as her assistant! I was so beyond happy and have been working with her for about a month now. It's been so amazing. There's no boss breathing down my neck... the schedule is chill for the most part... the job is easy- fun even! I'm more happy doing this than sales at the sunglass hut- and it's a new position to add to my resume.
I'm just so happy something worked out and I hope it opens more doors for me in the future-what with Jenni being a big name in Hollywood these days! Life is Amazing! Everything at this moment feels too good to be true. I hope it continues to get even better before it gets worse... because of course I have to be paranoid and think that something bad is going to happen. I really hope that my life with Eric and my friends/family continues to be blessed more & more. I'm very optimistic at the moment! *Knock on wood*
This weekend is halloween and looks like I'm gonna be doing it up big this year! At first I was looking forward to another halloween in the city, but then my friend Jennifer Paolotti was telling me to come to Atlantic city and Jenni also happened to be going there as well, so I figured it seemed to be the right place to go. I've done halloween in NYC in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and they weren't all that fabulous. My costume is amazing this year and I'm expecting Jenni to have like V.I.P. treatment, so hopefully it's fab and fun! again, *knock on wood*!!!!!
