Motorist dies, 2 critically injured in I-4 crash
ORLANDO - A 27-year-old
Ocoee man was killed in a Friday night crash on
Interstate 4 and two of his passengers remain in critical condition, the Orlando Police Department said.
John Fowler was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Interstate 4 near the Ivanhoe Boulevard exit ramp, police said.
Fowler's passengers, 40-year-old Dawn Noel Harrison, of Orlando, and 24-year-old Kyle Preston Kaminski, of Sanford, remained Saturday in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center, police said.
Shane Mills Harrison, 32, also was riding in the car but it was unknown if he was injured.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday, Fowler was driving his 2006 Nissan Altima east on I-4 when he attempted to exit at Ivanhoe Boulevard, police said.
Fowler was speeding on the wet roadway and failed to negotiate a curve, police said.
The Nissan drove off the roadway, swiped a small tree, then spun around and hit a large pine tree, police said.
His death marks Orlando's 14th traffic fatality this year, Orlando police Sgt. Barb Jones said.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, at the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Monday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
Other survivors and arrangements will be announced by Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
