my whirlwind of a weekend
- infinite number of traffic lights along route 301
- traffic making the drive home too long
+ home cooked meal
+ sleeping in my own bed
+ seeing Laurie and Kiwi
+ having dessert w/ barn people
- long train ride into NYC
+ managing the city with just our maps and Laurie's amazing sense of direction
- HOT
+ a.c. in all the buildings
- rude waiter at lunch
+ introducing Kiwi to Ben&Jerry's ice cream
- the train we wanted to take home being cancelled
+ finding another train station a block away
- sitting for a long time before we actually left
- loud kids in our train car
+ relaxing at home once we finally got there
+ reading the sunday paper in the morning with Dad
- leaving to go back to school
+ an almost traffic-free ride back
I actually enjoyed NYC this time around. Usually it scares me quite a bit.
