Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder, treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
whooo! i'm done with my bio chem test! I'm ok with how i did. But now i have to figure out a topic for my tokyo paper. =_= I'm debating focusing on some aspect of tokyo like Akihabara or the Hikkikomori problem. Those would be cool topics and i'm sure i could find good books and movies on them.
Anyway, i'm going to take a hot shower and come back and write a big entry.
Well, big is a relative term. It'll be big for me. Anywhoo i'm back from shower.
Lots of things to talk about. Med school interview was good. I liked Southwestern, though i think they asked the toughest questions of any of the schools i've been to. It was also
PISS nice to hang around with Airon and co, and just veg and keep my mind off
ASS interviews and that looming biochem test.
PISS OUT MY ASS!! Watched a really sick Russian movie called Day Watch (not Baywatch or Gaywatch) and some Avatar.
It was also nice to see Peter and catch up on things with him, and learn how he's taken to med school. He looks a bit different. I attribute that to aging. He says i look different too, which can probably be attributed to the same thing. Though i saw the back of someone with a veeerry familiar gait walk past the library windows and sure enough, it was Peter. I guess not too much has changed =)
Another girl from Tulane was there for interviews. She looked so familiar, and I looked familiar to her.
"You look familiar, are we any classes together?"
"No, i'm done with all my bio classes, and i'm an econ major"
"huh. Are you in AKPsi?"
"No... do we have any mutual friends? There's gotta be..."
"Maybe. You know ***********?"
"Ooh yeah!" A light bulb clicked on in our heads.
"Wait! I remember now! i met you at the boot and you were with *********. Didn't you guys hook up or something that night?"
"No, we just danced..."
"Holy crap! i remember Ahahahahahahahhaha"
"Yeah, he had a boner while i was dancing with him"
"Hahahahaha yeah!! i remember! I danced with him after he danced with you and got kinda grossed out! Hahaha he was so drunk!"
Yeah, really random and awkward. Nothing good comes from meeting people at bars. NOTHING.
Need to figure out my class schedule for next year... I register November 07, 2007 at 12:00 PM. Actually, i knew i needed to register soon, but i didn't realize how soon until
scarreddragon mentioned that she's registering tomorrow.
Registration requirements to graduate: 7 credits above 100 level, 8 credits total. One more asian studies class, a writing intensive class, a fine arts class.
Lol marikit's dad is teaching Asian American communities. WOW! there's a lot of real Asian Studies classes! I'm impressed, and rather sad that they didn't offer these sooner. Peter Tillack is teaching about japs again. There's a "peoples of the pacific" class... huh. We have a lot of white asian studies professors who are married to asians. I can think of three off the top of my head, and i'm sure there are more.
ASTC-390 Advanced Chinese
ENLS-263 Expository Writing (i'm going to kill myself)
ARST-105 Beginning Drawing
EBIO-420 Ornithology + lab (XD may make up for the writing class)
That should satisfy my requirements for graduation... I need to figure out which sections i'm taking for each.
THANKSGIVING is coming up! And it's going to be packed full of fun stuff!
Things going on:
1. Cousin Jennifer is staying over.
2. Black thursday shopping with Airon. Gonna buy some lam and some blank cds
3. hang out with Steph. (peter gonna be in town?)
4. introduce Jess Wu to Thai food.
5. Eat turkey
I need to make a post reviewing all the animes that i had
planned on checking out. Some have delivered, and some haven't. I guess i'll do that once i watch Ghost Hound. But it looks really good.
