observations
A lot of the blogs have been bitching and moaning about how much Kaze no Stigma sucks.
It's not that great, granted, but it's similar in format to shakugan no shana, which everyone loved.
Ayano = Shana
Tsundere. Fire power. Shana answers to Alastor. Ayano answers to the Kannagi family. They both start out hella weak. Ayano's "Kazuma nante DAIKIRAI! YURUSANAIN DAKARAAAAAAAAAAA" is just as annoying as Shana's "URUSAI URUSAI URUSAI!" They both have inflated egos, and think they are hot shit. The only difference is that Shana is a cute loli. Fortunately, Kazuma seems to be becoming the main character. A lot like how we were able to hear yuuji's thought processes more than shana's. Yuuji was the character we related to, and shana was just around as loli eye candy.
Kazuma = Yuuji.
Quiet. Yuuji dealt with the fact he's already dead and the fact he's weak. Kazuma is dealing with his pissed off at the kannagi family issue, but he kicked his dad's ass in the second episode... So i think his revenge is pretty much out of the way. Although he lost his GARness in the second episode to a very high degree, his little brother is cute.
Contractor zombie things = Tomogara.
Nuff said. They are strong enough to pose a real threat to kazuma and the kannagi. Although i'm not sure what they are after yet.
Shakushana focused a lot around school. I think kazuma is around 20. Ayano is 16. We see her in her uniform, but haven't seen her at school. So far, there really isn't much of a plot though. It's probably going to get boring somewhere in the middle.
Speaking of boring. Hayate no gotoku 4 was boring.
