Horses for courses... it would seem a bit boring compared to the wild life that your reviewer lives. Compared to my humble life, it certainly wasn't boring! ;-)
Oh, on GDR's website he is starting to put together profiles of the characters, perhaps you could refer Homer there so he can further his assessment on truth.

SPAM also thought it was bit boring... well, maybe even more boring than Homer thought, she gave up after less than 200 pages!

Well, you absolutely must read all of Mistry's books - they are all different, but brilliant... When I started reading Shantaram, I had to scratch my head a couple of times, I was getting confused between Mistry and Roberts. Seriously, it is big book, but I couldn't stop.
