So yesterday they were giving out cake in the lobby in honor of Women's Day, with a minimum 1 euro donation for cancer research or something and the other like that. Upstairs in the library, my co-worker Charley and I are getting really hungry, so we decide to split a cake between us. Unfortunately, neither of us have any money.
CHARLEY: I guess we can wait until people get out of class.
LEE: No, the group of visiting Italian kids are down there. The cake could be gone.
CHARLEY: Dang! You're right. Those Italians, they know how to eat.
Fortunately, there's about 5 people in the library, quiet hour.
CHARLEY: I suppose we can ask someone in here.
LEE: Yeah, good idea! We can just tell them to find us another day and we'll pay them back. It's not like we can hide from them.
CHARLEY: Oh my god, I can't ask.
LEE: All right, I'll ask...that guy. I see him up here all the time.
CHARLEY: Isn't there a rule against this? Hustling students in the library?
LEE: There's also a rule that we can't check our email on the book catalogue computer and eat in here.
CHARLEY: This is the best job ever.
Three kids later (NO ONE HAS A EURO!):
CHARLEY: Look what I got! *flaunts money*
LEE: 5 euro. NICE! Wait, you're not donating all 5 euro are you?
CHARLEY: No, I'll just get the change back.
LEE: What, WHAT. Are you going to ask CHARITY for change?! Ask the cafeteria guy!
Oh man. Good times! The cake was good too!
So tomorrow's Spring Break! A lot of people have left already, so the Internet is super fast. Well, I say "super fast," basically it means stuff doesn't take an hour to load. I'm going to Seville, Madrid, and Barcelona, in that order. YAY! Sun and fun! I will take pictures. Have a great spring break, everyone :)
