I am coughing like hell. I may or may not be feverish. And I'm marginally out of it, as shown by the fact that I just took a moment wondering how many 'f's there were in "coughing".
It's annoying me. It probably didn't help that I was playing sax all night (and by all night, I mean an hour). Swing band was playing at the "Festival of Light" thingie, which I take to mean Divali, but there was nary a dia in sight, so not authentic. There were fireworks, though, some of it was quite pretty.
Finding the place, was not fun. I wandered around for half an hour before conceding to the fact that no, I don't have a fucking clue where Cartmel is and asked somebody. Naturally, I was on the wrong side of campus, because of those fucking useless campus maps we all know how brilliant my sense of direction is.
Was gonna see if I saw Robyn around, but of course, didn't look much, because manoeuvrability is greatly reduced with a sax in your hand. Made it even more boring. Bleh.
Tried out another manga this weekend called "Eerie Queerie" solely because the name amuses me. The book? Not so much. I didn't quite get the point of it and it wasn't nearly as cute as Gravitation or FAKE so I'm not gonna bother continuing with it. Now if only whoever has the second volume of FAKE would hurry the hell up and bring it back, I would be happy. And if the library got in Volume 3-12 of Gravitation. Or if somebody randomly gave them to me because I refuse to pay 7 quid for something I'll finish reading within 2 hours.
Yes, I am a cheapskate. Why do you ask?
Ugh. My room is fucking boiling. I want air-condition.
Speaking of, I tossed some random Trinidadians into my purgatory story. Why? Vaps, probably. I don't even know where it's going, what the main characters are fighting about (because apparently they had a fight before that scene) or what the general plot is. But the random scene amuses me. I got it from that joke that was circulating around the Internet a couple years back on why neither God nor Satan want Trinis in their houses.
Speaking of writing, I actually went on a bar crawl. The Writer's Guild had a Halloween one on Friday (of course, I didn't dress up, because I couldn't particularly be assed to go quite in town to buy one) Spent most of the night with this chick from my Universe as an Art class, Robyn, and this American guy called Jesse. It was the most fun I've had at a bar. Bars usually bore the hell out of me. I guess 'cause this was the first time I was actually at one with people I had at least something in common with that weren't smoking or completely trashed. I'm glad I went and ducked the utterly pointless fencing. And blue slushies taste good, but not as good as red slushies. Next time? Both at once. Slushie threesome, baby.
Next week's the Rose and Poem thingie. I can't write poetry, but it should be a laugh, anyway.
