So I'm being dragged out tomorrow at midnight to see New Moon. *sigh* I've had the book since August and...you know how books are supposed to be a pastime? As in make time go past at a slightly faster speed than it would if you were watching paint dry? Yeah, I was reading it on a train and I could swear I was reading for hours, I actually thought I'd missed my stop but we hadn't even hit Preston yet. Preston is twenty minutes away. So when a book makes time move slower? Yeah, not a good sign.
I really tried. I really did. It was a birthday present and I always give those a go. It's just--does that chick have nothing without a man? Christ. I so want to punch her in the face, but more intellectually than really feeling it. I don't really feel much more than faintly annoyed and "oh my God are we there yet?" when I read it. Exasperated, I suppose. I don't know if it'd be different if I'd read the first one. Is the first one any buffer for the second one? Nevermind. I'm not gonna read it anyway.
And now I'm gonna watch the movie. If I didn't like these people, I'd so think of an excuse not to go. But I do and it's a night out so whatevs.
