Quadhonk and Supershinn's Excellent Kuchen Adventure
First off, hello to all my new friends from the Hetalia Friending Meme! I'm making a substantial post this time (as opposed to fan-spazzing like my last post), so this is what most of my entries will look like. Nice to meet you all! =D
Yesterday, quadhonk and I decided it'd be pretty cool to hang out for the day. We met up at 12:00PM. Our mission: to find pants for Matthew's DoitsuCosplay.
We started off just kind of driving around. After a while, I suggested we try to look for pants at this military surplus store we passed before, so we jumped on the freeway and headed in the general direction of the store. We got off too early at one exit, and accidentally ended up going back towards Roseville. >__> So we jumped on the freeway again (from the same ramp as before) and tried again. Nope. We ended up going back again, accidentally. After deciding "Whatever, we'll go find pants later. I'm hungry," we jumped on the freeway for the third time (yep, still the same ramp fffffffff) and headed for a Japanese market near the capitol to get bento.
Then we got lost again. FFFFF. So we're driving around this pretty shady part of town, with Maru Kaite Chikyuu rocking out of the speakers, me digging through Hannah's glove-compartment ("THESE MAPS ARE STICKY WITH DEATH!!"), and thinking we were somewhere familiar, but we weren't.
Finally, we got to the market but it was kind of late (1:30) and most of the good bento had been taken. We grabbed some delicious gyoza, korokke, and onigiri before stalking around the store for snacks. Oh man we bought a lot. While looking for purin, Hannah found something she had been craving for a long time - KUCHEN~! Yep, the same Kuchen that Germany loves to bake. So we bought out their selection of kuchen and went outside to eat.
I was stupid and forgot my camera but Hannah took this pretty sweet picture of some of our spread and me contemplating what to eat first. I went for the gyoza, in case you were curious.
After finishing our food, we drove around looking at cute houses, then went back home to check out thrift stores so we wouldn't get lost again. ^_^;; We found some DoitsuPants for Matt, Texas-Glasses for Hannah's America, and I got some Austria glasses. After that, we sat at Starbucks and drew weird pictures. Later on, we headed to a park to munch on our snacks, then chilled at the mall for a little. Over all, it was a really...random day.
We also read each others minds THREE TIMES it was crazy. First, we were talking about people in CardCaptor Sakura and I said something like, "What was her Dad's name again? Something fruity like 'Aiden,' I think." Hannah was about to say, "I think it was Aiden" as I said 'Something'. o_o Then at Starbucks, I drew Spain's face in our notebook and told Hannah to draw him a body, which she said, "Oh, I have something pretty magical in mind." After sketching the collar of his shirt, I looked and said, "Sho in 'Yoiko no Mikata'?" Yep, it was. Later, we started singing the 'Obama is Beautiful World' song at the same time. It's scary how often that happens. xD
To add to the randomness of this post, I have a magical picture to share with everyone. Wtf hetalia fanart ahead.
So, I don't really remember why, but Hannah drew this amazing picture of Prussia and Sealand in Sailor Moon outfits. It really reminded me of this Sailor Moon coloring book I had as a kid, so I wanted to color it. Being the masochist that I am, I colored it completely in Ms Paint. orz So, I'm sorry that I wrecked it with my fail!shading! Please forgive me. ;_; It took me...a while to color this, I don't really remember how long. 4-5 hours, I think. And now I have a new picture to color! 次は誰ある？
