Ouran High School Host Club Funimation Dub Casting
So, I've been watching the Funimation website in order to learn who is being cast for what in the English dub of Ouran High School Host Club, and although I don't know very much about the actors, I think they'll do a great job. I'm a little worried about how Kirimi will sound, but I'm going to trust Funimation to have picked out the right actress for her role. I heard Carrie Savage talk like a kid on youtube and wondered whether she had auditioned for that role. I think she could have done it.
Aaron Dismuke as Yasuchika should be quite amazing. I'm rather excited about that and have full confidence in his skills. :D
As for the rumors of Sonny Strait being Ranka, I hope for everything that it wasn't just a rumor and that someone accidentally released information early and had to take it down because Funi asked them to. If Sonny Strait is Ranka, I will feel like throwing a party. After having seen him as the flamboyant Maes Hughes in FMA, I have high hopes for him.
Anyhow, that's my take on things. If I don't like the dub, I can watch the subs. There's no reason for me not to buy the dvds. I can't wait for them to come out.
Here's to hoping that Funimation will make a successful and well casted dub for Ouran High School Host Club. Whoever plays the twins and Tamaki, even Hani-senpai, will have an enormous pair of shoes to fill. Really, anyone who plays a host has big shoes to fill, but especially the ones I specifically mentioned.
