Hope died.
For any of you who remember my entries about Hope, she was a little pitbull puppy who came to us as a cruelty case - she came in clinically dead, and we were able to resuscitate her. It was the most amazing case I have ever been a part of. If you want the dime version, watch the final episode of Animal Precinct for this season - her recovery is chronicled on that episode. I named her Hope because I just hoped she’d live! She had been adopted by two wonderful people, and apparently got very sick - they never got a diagnosis, but it sounds like she was in multi-organ failure and had a grave prognosis. Everyone wanted to cry when we found out - some did. I couldn’t talk about it for a while because that was the only way I could keep from crying. I found out about 2 weeks ago. Please say a prayer for her. I am only grateful that in her short miserable life, she had food, warmth, comfort, shelter and the opportunity to know SO much love. She was a deliriously happy dog. She was truly a miracle. I learned so much from her and am so thankful that I was a part of her life.
Rest in peace Hope-ity Hope.
