No one else going for the Mad Scientist Party (MSP) nomination for President got more votes than us in the Iowa caucuses, so I am declaring victory. On to New Hampshire ( Read more... )

And for those of us who are left-leaning, it was even more heartening to see that significantly more Dems than GOP turned out as well.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot... VOTE MSP OR BE DISINTEGRATED! :)

Yeah, Rudy decided (in his infinite wisdom) that he didn't need to campaign heavily in either Iowa or NH, aiming instead at the all the primaries on Feb 5th (Super Tuesday). While a sound strategy on paper, it overlooks the fact that momentum will likely build up for McCain as Huckabee's star rises, since the majority of the GOP is NOT going to want a Christian conservative from the fringe as their candidate (just like most of them don't want a "liberal" Republican like Rudy either).

His campaign is dead, I think.

I hear a good number of those new voters - or caucasers, or whatever they're called - were young first timers as well. It's always reassuring to know that youth are taking an interest.
