TODAY WAS AWESOME. I don't really know why, it just seemed really awesome and I was really happy all day. Really.
Bowdoin rejected me, but that certainly made my decision easy! Colby it is! I AM SO HAPPY!!!! I was looking at the website more, and I am SO happy with it. Tom was right; it really is the Middlebury of Maine. It's SO similar, everything just has different names. It's like they just tweaked Middlebury a tiny bit, put it in Waterville, and called it Colby.
Middlebury: founded 1800
Colby: founded 1813
Midd's school colors: navy and white
Colby's school colors: blue and grey
Midd's Schedule: 4-1-4
Colby's schedule: 4-1-4
Midd's Winter term: J-term
Colby's Winter term: Jan Plan
Midd: Member of NESCAC
Colby: Member of NESCAC
Midd Dining halls: 3 (Atwater, Procter, Ross)
Colby dining halls: 3 (Dana, Roberts, Foss)
and the list goes on!
There is one huge, glaring difference, though....
Middlebury mascot: Panthers
Colby mascot: WHITE MULES
and I'll be five and a half hours away from Tom. boo.
DANG!
But, I guess it's okay because I like Colby's emblem better. AND I like their motto better. And I'll be an hour away from Devon and Koko and Kolby and Kelseyyyyy! And I can see everyone who plays sports when they come to complete. I think it has a beautiful address too: 4000 Mayflower Hill, Waterville. Dad's excited because when they come to visit he can ski at Sugarloaf. Mom hasn't even seen the campus, but I showed her pictures on the website and she liked it a lot.
I'm buying my sweatshirt and decals tomorrow! EEEEEEEE! I'm so excited. Decisions, decisions.
I did a good deed today! Meg said she was too busy to have tea with me, so I brought her a Hazelnut Beligian Cafe and a parfait! I knew she was stressed out and bumming, and I cheered her up. Hooray!
I got my two narratives done today, but I should have gotten way more done. Ah well, another stressful working day tomorrow. I HAVE to be productive. MUST MUST MUST.
EEEEE! I'm going to the Hoppy prom with JUUUULIEN. Forget Coe-Brown! Hoppy is cheaper and I'm better friends with everyone there anyway. I know practically half the town. I'm especially excited to actually be going with a boy this year, hahahaha!
Laura and I started our healthy eating yesterday. I DID have chinese food tonight because my mom said I HAD to eat it, but I think I had a reasonable amount. I will certainly try to avoid that. I've been really good otherwise.
My hair is getting really long and spring is here, so it's starting to get curly again. YAY! And my skin is happy it doesnt have to be white and dry and gross anymore! hooray!
also, I hate daylight savings time!
