*dusts this place off*
Well, I am alive and well. Ok, maybe not well, I mean I've never been well, but you get the point. I am alive, let's say that. I know that pisses some people off, oh if I got a dollar for every time someone wished death upon me XD
I suppose a short update is in order. Let's see, um, I'm playing baseball again, on a new team this year. So far things are going alright, I played hockey with a few of the guys on the team, but I find this team to be a bit too serious at times, this is a fun league, winning is fun, but some of them are just too serious about it.
I went to see the Festival of Fire back in June, first time I'd ever watched it, it was really cool. I went with a bunch of people from a forum I frequent, we all met up and went to Toronto Island first, then went to eat at Shoeless Joe's, then went and watched the fireworks. They were some cool people, I had met some of them before at the last "Toronto Meet" lol.
Other then that. I'm working again, we've been busy at times, then slow at times. I've exhausted myself lately, we've been doing a job in Cambridge, so we'd start at 6am, one day we started at 4:30am, I worked just over 11hours outside in the sun, it was not fun. All of this was also done when I was sick, I was sick for a few weeks, I'm still not feeling perfect, but I still go to work. I missed one day for sickness for the last few weeks, considering I've not been feeling well that entire time, I'd say that was pretty good. We're done that job for the most part now, however the next job is starting, and we're in a rush, they're a head of schedule, so we have a crapload of stuff to fabricate for the job in a week, when usually it takes a week and a half to do it all...I really hope the weather is nice, it was bloody hot for awhile, and it makes working really hard.
Enough of work though, it annoys me too much.
Um, life stuff. I'm still single, which is good, yet sucks at the same time lol. At least I can save my money this way. I don't have any vacation plans this year again...I really should make some plans for next year, take some time off and go do stuff on my own...head out west or something, I dunno, we'll see, depends on how much money I've got to blow on stuff like that.
OH! I also bought a new computer, it is fucking awesome, rundown on specs:
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz
Video Card - XFX 7950GT 512MB Passively Cooled, this is awesome.
RAM - 2GB DDR2 Dual Channel.
Case: Cooler Master Centurion 534Plus. It has 3 120mm fans, CPU vent, blue LEDs, etc, really nice.
DVD-R/RW - LG with Lightscribe. I had a DVD burner in the old computer, but it sucked, this one runs well, and was cheap.
HDD: Western Digital 500GB XD Thing is awesome, so much space. Great thing is, I can fit [i]five[/i] HDDs in my case if I wanted, I could easily run a good RAID setup if I wanted. Though I dunno if I want to, anyways, when WD starts making TB drives, I'll be set.
I think thats all the major specs, I still have my old 20.1" Widescreen Monitor. I've got a bunch of new games, its sweet because I can play them on high and not get lag. I've got F.E.A.R. and its expansion Extraction Point, also have Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Supreme Commander and Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific. I like all of them except Silent Hunter 4, not a big fan of it, its cool, just really hard to get a hand on.
Hrm, what else. Oh, went to Anime North, bought a bunch of anime, I haven't even watched most of it...I got into finalists again for my video, which sucks, I personally think it was the best there, and not simply because I made it, I simply found the other videos weren't as good, it should have at least gotten second place...
Uh, I can't think of much else at the moment. Oh, saw the Transformers movie, and Order of the Phoenix. I loved Transformers, it was great, they did it very well, sure it had its bad moments, but overall it was well done, the air strike in the desert was AWESOME "send the hogs over to killbox 1-Alpha" god, I love those planes, and the AC-130U Spooky, mmm, love the 30mm Bushmaster II Autonannons and 105mm Howitzer mounted to a plane XD.
As for Order of the Phoenix, ignoring the book, it was a good movie, I enjoyed it in that regard. However, I felt they changed a bit too much, like removing the little bit with his aunt when she blurted out the bit about dementors being the guards of Azakaban, little things like that that would have fleshed out characters a bit. I would have also liked to see a bit more on the Weasley twins when they leave the school, though it was still AWESOME in the movie. But I understand why they cut stuff out, time constraints, if they hadn't cut anything out, the movie would have been 3hours long...
So yeah, that should be good for this update..we'll see if I remember this place more often...lol *continues to clean the dust out*
