(no subject)
so I went to skidmore and hampshire this weekend.
Hampshire is a joke. No quizzes, no tests... you do a self-evaluation at the end of each course and the professor says if he thinks you're being honest with yourself or not. Basically I really liked that they were environmentally friendly, but I don't think I believe in their educational system.
Skidmore was fantastic. I really enjoyed it, and I think I want to go there (it's #2 at this point, I think, but a vert close second) It's pretty, the food's great, they have a lot of veggie options, dorms are big, it's just outside of a really cute town. it's great. I liked everything about it. yay upstate new york!
meanwhile school is boring me/frustrating me. speaking of which I should really be outlining for euro... oh well. basically, despite the fact that I had a 3 days weekend I need a vacation from school/people at school.
one interesting thing about school though.... this week we have german exchange students. The ones I have met are all very nice/cool/amusing. I like them a lot. yay Germans! In Euro today we talked to one of the Germans about how Paris Hilton isn't an accurate portrayal of who we are as a culture and how she's areally a failure at life. oh Paris Hilton... no respect. doesn't that suck? I would hate that, even if I did have a rediculous amount of money.
