(no subject)
at maggies request I decided to write an entry...
So a few weeks into school our computer decided to crash... which isn't supposed to happen to macs. Anyway so then I spent 2 weeks using dad's computer downstairs until we finally were told it's a better deal to just buy a new computer. So we did that... and this computer makes me happy. it's way faster and prettier and has a built in camera. yay!
On the downside school is kicking my ass. For some reason I chose a particularly demanding course load. I like all of my classes, but it's just a lot more work than I'm used to. I'm overloaded with stress and an unending flow of work that seems more "busy work" than work of any real substance...I guess 3 AP classes will do that to you... On the bright side I ended up with 2 art classes, and I am really really liking sculpture. I'm really excited to see how the container I finished today is going to turn out. I made this octagonal container with a lid, painted it black and scraffito-ed (spell check?) a pretty vine design on the sides that has turqoise accents in some of the flowers and leaves. It makes me really happy.
Also lately I have had a lot of confusion about the future (que onimous music). I know it's typical, but basically I've started to reevaluate what's really important to me, and somehow in the process started doubting the major(s) I have in mind.. among other things. I'm really wondering if I still am really interested in my intended major or if I'm just saying it out of habit because that's what I've wanted for about a year, and now I just answer without really thinking.
I can't wait until Kongress when I can propertly blow off some steam and have a fantastic time with some absolutely fantastic people....
