(no subject)
My family got some good news today, my dad who is down in the Orleans/Jefferson area working for Cox Communications swung by my parents house uptown and the house is fine. There was no water in the house and the house was not hit by looters. My dad tried to swing by my apartment to go check it out but he has not been able to get closer than a block and a half away because of downed trees though from what he saw of it the complex looked unharmed. We are still waiting to see if we will have a place to live here because there is no way we can continue to live in my uncle's house. My uncle stays up all hours of the night and then is up bright and early in the morning getting only about 4 hours sleep at most and with Kristine and I staying in the living room we get woken up when he goes to get his coffee and when his wife comes home from work about 8 am at latest. Though I am seriously debating on trying to get on at LSU and get some classes over with so I am not even further behind then I already was. I just do not want to leave my mom here, she is worried about how we will get by until we can go home and things are normal again but no one knows when that will happen. Well I better go look on blockbuster.com to see if I can get a job at the blockbuster closest to here. Though the closest one is about 45 minutes away.
