Friday I got an order that I had, er, actually forgotten about. (In my defense, early April was the craziest time of a crazy semester. I don't remember much of anything from back then.) It's two 5ml: Frumious Bandersnatch--which I briefly tried yesterday, and loved, but will have to test more thoroughly--and Cheshire Cat, which I'm wearing now.
This is a scent that had gone away due to ingredient issues, I gather, and had just made its reappearance in the Mad Tea Party collection when I ordered it. The official description is: Grapefruit, red currant, dark musk, Roman chamomile, delphinium, and lavender.
Right out of the bottle, it is pure pink grapefruit. Sharp and citrusy, very clean. I think happily of how it'll suit over my Lush Happy Hippy grapefruit shower gel, turning me into a walking orchard. (Er, hopefully without the wasp factor.)
A few minutes later, that sharpness is fading and blending with the sweet grassy scent of chamomile. I can sense, more than smell, the currant and musk, with a dusting of floral that must be delphinium, because I'm not getting lavender from this at all.
I really like this a lot as a summer scent. Throw is good but not powerful, so no risk of excessive wafting. If it lasts more than half an hour, I'll be an extremely happy camper. Since I have a bottle of Tamora coming eventually as well, my summer should smell fantastic. And really, what more could I ask? Heh.
Update: Well, it's been over an hour and the scent is still there. It's faded to a creamy fruity-floral blend that is really very, very nice. Me like.
