This week's rewatch is Metamorphosis. I'll be preparing my review for Friday so, while I do that, I'd like to hear what you think of the episode in comments and/or in the poll! ( Participate in the Poll! )
I often use it as a reference for Sam's feelings regarding the demon blood and making the best of his situation - but it is quite hard to watch in terms of the Sam/Dean conflict and the gruesome aspects of the monster involved.
very well put. i'm already entrenched in sam/dean conflict with the chapter i'm writing. lots of teenage angst from sam. i'm not going to rewatch this one but i look forward to your review.
I remember this episode not being that popular at the time, but I always liked it for how much it focused on the brothers relationship. There were some really gross moments with bones snapping that I could have done without though :(
I agree. It is a very important episode in which Sam and Dean both are able to express their feelings. It is tough to watch for various reasons though. I had a tough time choosing between great and good :P
I love the Sam and Dean argument in this episode so much. The monster of the week in this episode is a little gross, though.
"If I didn't know you, I would wanna hunt you" is such a great line, but such a terrible thing to say! I feel like there's a connection between this line and Sam's line in WtLB, "You don't know me. You never did. And you never will."
That first part of the argument for me is very tough to watch just because of all the hurt and worry. I liked the second part when Sam makes Dean pull over the car better because Sam is finally able to tell Dean what he has been feeling and Dean listens and tries to understand. The monster is pretty gross. I'm beginning to see some significance in that too though. We'll see if I can tie it in properly :P
I had to go to Wikipedia to check what this episode was about. I had absolutely no recollection of it. After reading the summary, I decided to give this episode an "OK" as I think this was one of the weaker episodes from season 4, despite the brother conflict.
It is actually:D For me, it is quite a significant episode because of Sam's speeches - to Dean and to the Rugaru. But it is true there are not many gif-able scenes, hardly any humor, and it is also an ep where Dean finds out how Sam has been lying to him so definitely "uncomfortable" as well - for me anyway. It is also pretty gross. I can understand how people would "forget" it :D
