How you got in to the supernatural fandom? and were you a fan from the start ?emmatheslayer
It's just been two and a half years since I found out about this incredible thing called fandom and in particular the SPN fandom here on the internet.
I've always loved stories of supernatural beings, super powers, heros and fantasy. I've also always loved a bit of humor in shows. I grew up watching comedy dramas like Family Ties and the Cosby Show and reading stuff like the Narnia series and The Lord of the Rings. I didn't have many chances to watch that type of show until I learned how to watch on the net - and that was only two years ago. I wracked my brain for all the shows I'd ever seen that I wanted to watch again, and Supernatural was one of them. The episode that stuck in my brain was actually It's a Terrible Life :D When I finally found the show in the summer of 2012, I went through the seasons like the whirlwind, and then went through them again...and again...:P. This was the perfect show! With the supernatural and fantasy, heros and humor...and of course 2 gorgeous guys <3<3
I was so excited I wanted to share so I tried to get my hubby to watch but of course he didn't like it. When I couldn't stand it anymore, I started searching on the net to see if I could find someone to talk to about the show - that's when I found the Supernatural.TV forum and was introduced to fandom! It was terribly exciting - from the initial avitar/icon preparation to banners - At the forum, the first thing you do is choose an avitar and a banner to attach to comments. So I learned about banners for the first time there as well and had a ball learning how to make them myself♡. Most of all, I really enjoyed talking about the characters and episodes with the people there. But, after around 6 months of that I wanted more! So I started my journal here last July.
And boy! This fandom is huge! All the art and stories, pairings etc! It feels like I've been here much longer because so much has happened in the last two years. I've had to catch up with a lot of stuff and it's been really exciting trying new things and getting to know so many wonderful people and talking about the show together. Just a big thank you to everyone who has friended and enjoyed it with me. It's been a great ride so far!
