Differences between Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CC - Part 1

I told you previously that we got a new computer for the school aye? Well it has a bit more memory and is pretty much empty of software so I got the trial version for Photoshop CC to try it out. And here are some differences I've found so far.

1) video importing: To make screencaps or gifs, you need to import video files. For Photoshop Elements, you can only import one. frame. at. a. time. AND, you have to save them all MANUALLY... BUT, you can watch the show (albiet on a very tiny screen) while you import so you can kill two birds with one stone AND you can choose the frames you import.

For Photoshop CC, you can import the whole damn video file and automatically turn them into layers and then again automatically save them as frames as well. (They even put names on the files for you!) The only problem I see so far is, you can't chose the frames so you may miss some moments by accident, or get way too many frames to work with.

(Does anyone know of a way to watch the video and import the files manually on CC?)

2) gifs: With Elements, the frames are imported as separate files from the start - not as layers. So you have to combine the files to even make layers - which is tedius work. With CC, they are already imported as layers so it's very easy to create a basic gif file.

So, I just finished making a whole bunch of screencaps for SPN 4-10 with two or three clicks of the mouse. We'll see how they turn out!
