1. What is the sweetest thing you've ever done for someone else?I really don't know. This would be my opinion naturally, and often what you think is the sweetest/kindest thing is not noticed or appreciated as such. I like doing things for people I love, but it often takes me a while to think of so it usually doesn't make it in time for a birthday

I don't even remember recommending Cradle, but I bet it was me! XD I love that series. The second-to-last book came out just last week and I adored it. The series not based on a game per se but I've heard that it was heavily influenced by (I think) Yu-Gi-Oh, which I don't know a ton about but I believe there's a card game? Anyway, I think Cradle is definitely meant to have that vibe and to exist in/comment on that kind of genre that would have a game or be based on a game, so it makes sense that it reads like that to you.
The Will Wight subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Iteration110Cradle/) is a nice little fandom place if you're inclined to check it out once you've caught up and don't have to fear spoilers. :) I know Reddit has a bad reputation, but some subs seem okay and Will Wight's seems to be pretty good. I lurk around and occasionally comment there. It's extra fun because Will Wight and at least one of his siblings (who help him with the business side of things) pop up sometimes. And the guy who reads the audiobooks, which are amazing.
ANYWAY lol I'm so glad you're enjoying the series! I'm excited to have successfully introduced it to someone.

Heee! Happy to find a fan<3 I thought Yu-Gi-Oh was just a Japanese game. Is it played there too? Yes, it is a card game. My kids were never into it but it was quite popular when they were small. Cool.
I actually went to his web page looking for references to a game and found the reddit too.
I am on the 9th book atm. Some parts mid-series I had to skip over they were rather tedius, but it got better! Lots of excitement :D

I can understand finding parts tedious, heh. Personally I tend to space out during the action scenes, though they seem well-written for people who are into that kind of thing. The humor and my love of the characters carry me through the parts I'm not so into, though.
The 10th and 11th books are probably my favorites so far (though I'm also extremely fond of 3 and 5). I hope you enjoy them when you get there!
