The Friday Five and other news
1.Had enough winter/summer yet or are you just getting started?
I LOVE winter, and the ground is finally frosty in the morning! YAY. I went out for a walk with Hana today without gloves. Never again. But YAY :D
2. Will you do anything to acknowledge the Winter/Sumer Solstice?
Maybe, now that I know it's on December 22 :) But it is rather overshadowed by Christmas, and it's the shortest day/longest night of the year right? Maybe I'll just sleep in. <3
3. Will you have a Christmas vacation/break this year and travel some place?
I am officially on Christmas break now until January 9. That's the good thing about having your own business - at least a school - you get to choose your own holiday and I always make sure to have Christmas and New Years off so I can enjoy the holiday. I don't usually go anywhere - just cook, read, write, shop and do a bunch of my favorite stuff.
4. What do you miss about the preceding season already? Nothing, really. Fall is my favorite season, but we still see colorful leaves, and I can still get and enjoy fall foods. I love Winter too and am totally psyched that it's getting colder and I get to feel the warmth of blankets, woolen sweaters (that I can't wear at any other time), wear gloves and coats and see my breath go white in the air.
5. What don’t you miss? Typhoons and rain. Winter is sooooo sunny. I also love the winter breeze.
I am finally finished with my normal classes! YAY!!! I still have some makeups but I can start going shopping, baking and all that stuff.
I finished watching the new season of TITANS. I really like this show and I think I like this season even better than the previous ones. Dick Grayson is yummy.
* He actually looks rather like Alex :D No wonder I think he's cute... :P
I am going to be watching Witcher - but now that it's out, I am putting it on hold because I don't want to finish watching it too fast :( Witcher seasons are sooooo short.
Also I am now finally reading a book series that I enjoy. I am now reading the second book in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. This is a really good series! I now know why SPN named their episode after it.
My challenge for this year was to read 100 books. Unfortunately I got stuck on some books that just were not productive. I am up to 78 but doubt I can read 22 more by the end of the year LOL
Today I spent most of my free time helping Alex finish his Thesis - due at 4 pm today. HE FINISHED! And he can now graduate once at least, before he goes into education classes. I have had jazzy Christmas background music on all day too and it is making me whistle and sing. I'm ready to get into the Christmas spirit for real.
Christmas cards are out to the first bunch of people. They will be on the dot or a bit late for Christmas but I did send them. Whomever is sending me one and I missed the first time around I will send later!
