Continued
I thought I'd better write a few words, even though I can't think of anything interesting - maybe something will come to me as I do.
Life has continued as usual for the last few weeks. We are getting a few more trials here and there and new people have joined the school which we are glad for. Of course, there are also those leaving so it evens out somewhat, but we hope to get more than we lose.
Time is going by like a whirlwind as we get ready for the new year in April. I need to reorganize classes and make room for new classes and students. It is a task requiring lots of emails and thought.
Today, I had a full day of choir practice from 9 to 4. We have a contest on March 1, where we will be singing one Hungarian song, one English song and one Japanese song. They are all very unique and interesting pieces. The Hungarian has been rather challenging but I've finally memorized it so now to get it sounding nice!
I then went out to buy some more valentine chocolate ingredients with Audrey, who had a few more to give out to her friends. This year she made chocolate covered marshmallows. We also found some cheap strawberries today and she made us all some melted chocolate for some fondue. That was excellent! Mmmm<3
Alex is struggling with his studies in Belgium. He didn't get the grades he had hoped for/expected and is now trying to chose his next classes in a way that will guarantee credit. But, he did take a short trip to Spain - Madrid - and really enjoyed that, so that is good.
Some more good news - we got a family to rent our condo from March, so we will be getting some income from that too. It's been tough just making ends meet. To be honest, we have been surviving on money from hubby's mom and savings for our kids. The new students and this new rent will help make things a bit easier. If I can find the time, I'd like to look for some translation work, which would also make things easier. We will see.
That's about it for now. I've been rewatching The Last Kingdom probably over 7 times by now. I can't stop rewatching all the excellent scenes I enjoyed, although I skip over stuff that I don't need to watch anymore. The cool action scenes, the emotional scenes, the funny lines that I have to hear again... that kind of thing. I am excited to read that season 4 is planned to be released sometime soon. Seriously, if you have the chance, I definitely recommend it.
