OK, so I couldn't get the file at a good time before my classes started so my schedule is all messed up. I'm dead on my feet but if I don't get this written now... I will never get it written. So, I'm sorry if it sounds even more haphazard than usual.

Poll SPN 14-6 Optimism
I LOVED it <3 First of all, I loved the whole feel of the ep - the music that was used, the way they used the lines as they switched scenes, I LOVED Jack and Dean together vs Sam and Charlie. The Sam/Charlie hunt wasn’t that awesome but it had a lot of little messages that I want to think about/look back on a bit more later.
The THEN started out with a cool tick-tocky kind of music, like they're on the clock of doom, then the now - even the first scene which usually is just the first (boring) death by monster was entertaining and cute.
The music used in the kind of peaceful town scene, the library, then the two guys smitten for her - the guy who wields a stapler like a gun LOL Then the guy dancing on the sidewalk - so cute - before being pulled into the bushes and killed.
Then Jack talking with Dean in the kitchen. And Sam and Charlie in the car and the ‘yup’ leading to ‘yup by Jack to Dean.Jack telling Dean that because Dean had been making a visit to Bobby and Mary (awww), Sam had taken Charlie to a hunt and left Jack behind.
JACK:They’re probably doing something really exciting
(Cut to Sam and Charlie doing nothing - staking out in the car LOL)
SAM: You sure this is the place?
CHARLIE: Yup.
SAM: Right
DEAN: So he just left you here, huh?
JACK: Yup.
Jack taking lots of sugar in his coffee…? And telling Dean that Sam's worried about him, and the Michael business wasn’t his fault but then he also blames himself for not killing Michael and hunting would take his mind off of it… pretty please? *puppy dog eyes*
And Dean is like… Sam’s just trying to protect you. He’s smart so you should listen to him.
Cut to Sam playing with that finger twirly thing - a hand spinner in Japanese apparently.
JACK: We could be hunting buddies!
(Dean feels for Jack and decides to take him even if Sam might disapprove)
Charlie starts reading and the nice music starts up again.
Dean and Jack are at the restaurant and their conversation with the waitress is hilarious!
Jack writing “Winston dead…” reminds me of Cas and that little conversation about courting, dating and sex XD Who’s going to believe Jack is FBI LOL
WAITRESS: Sometimes you just have the sex.
Love the little scene with all the interviewees -
INTERVIEWEES: She’s bad luck.
Sam and Charlie have a talk about new Charlie and how she had lost the love of her life in the other world. So I’m reminded of Bobby who has lost his loved ones too. All of these people obviously have issues/trauma - Charlie became distrustful of humanity and just wants to go where there’s no one, up on a mountain.
Dean and Jack eating pie and talking about courting and sex. And their little act at the library LOL
DEAN: OK, why don’t you back off kid.
JACK: No, you back off, old man.
The love at first sight music between Jack and Harper XD
Dean looking at himself in the mirror all perturbed!
DEAN: Old man, my ass.
This Charlie doesn’t like hunting very much and tells Sam it’s her last case. Sam’s like noooooo don’t leave us…. But this also kind of reminded me of Bobby and Mary. Maybe Charlie does need to get away for a while. Why does Sam want her to stay so much? Just because she is good at hunting? Sam, you do remember your Charlie DIED helping you?? Get Charlie away from hunting or you’re going to kill her too. Seriously, there was a whole theme this ep aye? About death and family mourning?
SAM: Oh great, our perp might be a giant fly with low self-esteem!
Totally weird flyman appears at a bus stop with an ad for pesticide “PESTINATOR” LOL
Awww… jack telling Harper about how he is depressed about all the bad stuff that happened :(
HARPER: Jack, do you… believe in love at first sight?
JACK: Do you… mind if I use the bathroom?
Jack telling Dean in the bathroom that he needs to have the sex talk XD
DEAN: Sounds like the guys around her are cursed.
JACK: Guys… like… me…
DEAN: Yeah, just keep her there and…
And Dean gets attacked!
Wow… And we have a zombie!!! And the right kind!! XD Remember all the talk about the zombies in season 5 and how they were different from the one they had to stake and bury?!
Sam is trying to convince Charlie that she shouldn’t go off by herself or stop hunting even.
Harper pretending to be nervous and searching for her key, Harper and Jack poking their heads up over the counter, and then the surprise that she’s the one that made the zombie.
Charlie and Sam have found the flyguy’s nest and Charlie falls, hits her head and is unconscious!
CHARLIE: So… we got creative… cool.
Dean and Jack doing a little acting again,
JACK: You’re going to convince him with your shotgun?
DEAN: Not exactly.
JACK: Every relationship has it’s stuff, right?
and catching the zombie XD
SAM: I do feel sort of bad for the Masca. I mean he could have been happy if he had stayed with his people. Didn’t have to go off on his own, just because.
CHARLIE: Your nifty metaphor has holes. I wasn’t looking for love. I found it and I lost it...
SAM: Some people can do bad things if they are desperate or scared, ... if we help people then maybe they will help people and all that. And that’s worth it. Even with all the death and tears, it’s worth it.
...and Charlie decides to stay a bit longer. Don’t get killed Charlie.
Scary Harper is after Jack - she wants to kill him and then bring him back so they can be together again…
Dean and Jack’s last conversation about dealing with the guilt that comes from mistakes…
DEAN: It’s not about being right, ok. You’re going to make mistakes hell, I make them all the time. But it’s how you handle yourself once you’ve made those mistakes and how you’ve learned from them.
JACK: and how not to beat yourself up over them.
Poor Jack, falls over. Finally Dean finds out how serious it is.
