I saw some videos tonight that immediately made me think of you. I am wondering if the first one is where the SPN writers got their idea.
The second one cracked me up. The girls are so funny and the last girl is the funniest of all. I could NEVER be on a show like this. I'm too squeamish. Are the other girls urging the contestants on, giving them clues, or what?
I put a link to the first vid in my review of Changing Channels LOL Isn't it awful?! I hate it! There used to be a lot of shows where the people had to do all kinds of crazy/painful things, but not now.
The second one is just a few years back I think... those girls are all from the same singing group called AKB48 which was and still is pretty popular. The girls are all telling the one girl where the "thing" is. It's more to the right or left etc.
Oh, that was where I saw that first video before...in your LJ. I was pretty sure I'd seen it somewhere. We have a lot of reality shows in the US with some pretty dangerous things the contestants do, but nothing like that game show where someone is actually hurt.
I've seen some (Korean, I think) girls and boys pop groups -- KPOP -- but not AKB48.
