Okay, so my name is Mister Saltzman. I'm your new history teacher. This year i'm hoping to take you through local lore, myths and legends and maybe keep you all awake in class if at all possible.
For your first assignment, I think we should break you in easy. Say a five thousand word essay?

Kidding! Lets try and make this a little more fun. How about you pair off and make a video of some aspect of local lore. You can use archive footage or re-enactments or whatever you like but make sure it's local.
And please people, make it interesting. I don't want to sit through a dozen Blair Witch Projects okay?
