Help! English Majors/Poetry-knowledgable folks!
Hey all -
I'm taking three different English classes, including a creative writing class. Now, don't get me wrong - I enjoy poetry and can admire a well written poem as well as the next person. But I suck to high heaven at writing it.
I have a portfolio due later this week, but we're supposed to take it tomorrow for peer review first. I'm kind of freaking out here. The poetry I've written for the class has sucked. I know I'll be going through all the bits and pieces to decide on the 5-6 I'm supposed to include within a reflective portfolio (in other words I get to say why my poetry sucks and how I've -hopefully- become a bit less sucky through the course of the last few weeks.
And I tried my hand at the sonnet like a good little student (last assignment last week)and let's just say it was absolutely cringe-worthy. It was bad. Very bad, even.
So, my illustrious f-list, anyone killing time until the big game later today? Wanna help me out? I would be appreciative.
