Soooo … life is a highway ….
I want to ride it, all night long ….
Um, yeah. Well. In other news I have recently discovered my sanity is missing, and it just keeps running further away. But life is kind of exciting, even in light of summer vacation and all that fun stuff.
I am going back to school. Have I mentioned that? No? Well, I am, I think. As long as the financial aid (which I thought was a done deal) actually comes through. In the fall I will matriculate for the first time in over 12 years. Whew! Don’t I feel old. At least some of my previous college credits will work for my current program, although I’m not 100% of what the final degree will be.
I know Education is a biggie for me, and anything having to do with special needs. But my passion is support and advocacy, and I’d love to go into non-profit work. Not looking to make a fortune … just wanting a little corner of the world I can belong to and show to my kids.
My hubby’s health? Not so great. The kids? Awesome! Summer is agreeing with them immensely I think.
Only a few of you know this about me - but I’ve actually edited a book recently. The book was my great-aunt Geneva’s book. I think i posted something recently about her passing? This book was her final request and legacy. Look for it on Amazon or the CreateSpace website. The name of the book: God Heals a Broken Spirit. I’m a little biased, but I think it’s a great book, and, though I only edited and formatted it, I found myself drawn to the story. Read the summary and tell me what you think by commenting to this post. I’d love to see your thoughts. (Oh, and we’re already aware of a few typos *sniffs*, though I did try my hardest).
More cool news? I have finally begun editing on my own book (first written during last year’s Nano). I’ll bother you all with the news on that as it becomes available - which I’m sure isn’t going to be for quite a while. Aaaaannnnnd - I’m already getting excited about an upcoming get together with some writer friends of mine. We all met via writing fanfic, isn’t that something? I can’t wait for that, as some of my greatest friends have come from ladies I’ve met via SPN fanfic.
And about my own fanfic? I am digging back into it and plan to have updates and such up by sometime this weekend. If you read this long and caught that --- woot! for you and thanks for caring *hugs*
