2009 is over
I didn't want to make a 2009 post until the year was really over.. It's now 2010, so here it is :)
First of all: Happy New Year!!! I hope this will be a good one for everyone.
2009... I'll probably forget to mention a lot of stuff that happened this year... But here are some of my ups and downs. I will start with the downs, because I do want to end this post on a positive note.
Downs
-some people I met
-my stupid meds, it only made things worse instead of better
-my "suicide attempt" and ending up in jail for one night
-my struggle with depression, suicidal thoughts, the urge to hurt myself (and others), panic attacks and my agoraphobia
-GGZ, stupid fools
-missing out on Adele's concert because I was too ill
-my health still hasn't improved at all
-people died.. People close to me, people near and dear, but also famous people who I admired. It was rough, very rough.
-we got the news that my aunt will die of her cancer
-some friendships went down the drain, some almost did
-my mother and her drunk actions/words
-my new upper-neighbors
-I gained weight (I think)
-lack of money
-I had to drop out of college due to my health (mental and physical)
Ups!
+Papa Roach, they released a new album, an EP, I saw them live 6 times this year, had 2 official meet&greets with them and at the other shows I always at least talked to 1 member of the band. It was a Roachy year.
+Maria Mena, I only saw her live 3 times this year unfortunately, but it was great. I love getting kisses from her ;)
+All the concerts/gigs I went to (Papa Roach, Maria Mena, The Script, Staind, Pink, Tracy Chapman, Moby, Nine Inch Nails, Acda en de Munnik, the Fray, Anathema, Backstreet Boys and maybe some more I can't think of right now)
+Went to Graspop Metal Meeting on the Friday, saw some awesome bands, met Papa Roach again :)
+I met some great people :), made some new friends
+My Roach family always being there for me
+Twitter (haha yes, I know, pathetic.. haha)
+Jasper and I bought our own, big apartment
+Moving into our new apartment
+Having a room entirely mine
+All the new stuff we bought for our apartment
+The view from our balcony
+I passed the exams to get into "Animal Husbandry" at the Hogeschool INHolland
+and so I went to college for a while
+Jasper and I went to Prague for a couple of days for my birthday. On my birthday we went to see Papa Roach there and it was probably my best birthday ever.
+Music.. There were some new bands/artist I got to know, there were some old bands/artists I re-discovered and there were a lot of new releases that made me happy! :)
+Movies. I didn't get to see as many movies as I had wanted to, but I did see a lot of great movies.
+I got a one year membership to Blijdorp Zoo.
+All the good times I had with my friends and family
+I got 2 new tattoos
+I joined the Postcrossing project
+Silverchair is working on new material
+I went to Dortmund for 1,5 day all by myself, which to me is a big accomplishment
