I just had one of the best dreams i've ever had.
::: So, right after my mom's wedding, which was convieniently held in my backyard, Katie and I just decided to take a walk, no real destination in mind, just a walk. So we walked, and walked, next thing I knew, we were on the outskirts of Upstate New York, still walking. Neither of us grew tired or hungry, and neither of us felt a need to stop, we just were. 4 days had passed, and we decided we'd better turn around, but continued walking to Pennsylvania.::: I can only destinctly remember myself saying :::"If we can make it to the capital of Pennsylvania, we can assuredly catch a train to Penn Station in New York City." So we kept walking, and it seemed as if we were in the middle of nowhere, just walking up this extensive unpaved gravel road, all uphill when we came across this large cardboard box, full of shoes and trinkets and :::what we'd later find out to be::: "wedding presents". B/c we were both suddenly barefoot, we each grabbed a pair of shoes, I grabbed a pair of backless moccasin-y things, and ::: and now the walking companion was faceless, so I am unsure if it was still Katie:: faceless-companion grabbed an old-school pair of Sambas. We walked to the crest of the hill, and looked out, not 20 feet in front of us was a small house, a lake house with no lake. We just walked, sat on it's porch and waited. Eventually someone arrived, I never caught her name. She was a some-what attractive, curly-haired, brunette with teeth like the singer Jewel, a "snaggle-tooth" is what i think it's called. She offered us a ride, nowhere in particular, and we graciously accepted. So we drove, I sat in the back seat, on the driver's side, face-les companion was on the opposite side. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out my camera, the driver turned around and I took a picture, she became more attractive, her hair, once an unruly mess was flowing, her eyes, glistened with the flashbulb. So we drove on, she explained to us that the items in that large cardboard box were wedding presents, and while she was still married, there was no sign of a husband. We could tell she was getting emotional, so we dropped the subject and moved on. We drove under overpasses, through ghettos, and, peering down one canyon-like street, i could see the gold-top Pennsylvania capital building. In an instant, we were there.::: I woke up. :::The next "day", I was at work, glued to the floor, surrounded on all sides by customers. No one was asking questions, they just stood.:::
That's where I woke up again, thinking to myself: "I have to go write about it before i forget any part of that." So I did.
There was just silence, I spoke aloud once, but to counter that overwhelming silence, every character had inner-monolouge that everyone partook in. Our driver never spoke aloud about her missing husband, it was just understood.
and like, wow.
