Once upon a time there was a girl who liked to do as much activities as possible to keep her mind occupied from the fact that her social life wasn't exactly shining brightly. But that was okay, because she knew it was just a matter of time before some turning point would appear. Well, that girl is tired of waiting. I mean, she's always hated waiting anyway! She hates waiting in lines, she hates waiting for a new episode of her favourite tv-shows to air, she hates waiting to know the results of her tests, she hates waiting for someone she isn't even sure will come. She hates waiting to be out of her shit-hole of a town. Yeah, she's not really into patience. Now, she doesn't mean to whine and everything, because she's pretty happy with some part of her life right now, but, come-freaking-on! Fucking Murphy's Laws! She's almost 18 for Merlin's sake! And don't tell her she's got to take her life in her hands and DO SOMETHING, because she tried okay? She tried, and you know what she got out of it? a cool thing, a very new thing: a whole new charming nothing, except maybe a crush(that's doomed and has to go away, like, now!). Awesome. Perfect. Brilliant. Shiny! So, I like my life. I really do. I like waking up in the morning with the Oasis, Joan Jett and Lady Gaga blasting in my ears while the cold air has the same effect on me as a cup of coffee. I like wandering around the hollow hallways of my school, hoping to accidentally encounter a certain someone; I like working for the school newspaper (especially when I'm supposed to be in class), feeling part of something serious. I like feeling important and watching my favourite shows, commenting them with my favourite fan girl (:P). I like cuddling. I like roller skating. I like coming home dead tired, turning on the stereo and singing my ears off. But hey, and I'm gonna say it just once, because I have some kind of reputation to keep, I need a freaking love life.(At least to improve my writing ideas! XD). Good. I'm done whining now xD.
On other brighter topics, 1)I'm assistant editor now, and next year I'm gonna be editor in chief (of the school newspaper). Bring it on! 2)I recently fell in love with the Oasis, Joan Jett (also, the movie, omg, the movie is so precious!<3), and the Whip It! Soundtrack. 3) I'm reading Voltaire: Candide or Optimism and other tales. I find it extremely up-to-date and amusing. Also, it's a great laugh, if you can belive it xD A good example that you don't need to write something incredibly rhetorical to be remembered through centuries (He wrote that book in 1700 guys!), indeed, your style can be simple and tale-like and still being a philosophical best-seller. It makes you think about the thousand of crappy boring writers out there, who think that using words such as pleonastic instead of useless qualifies them as writers. Please. I have nothing against a wide use of vocabulary but that's just crossing a line.(I still adore Rachel Berry's stunning vocabulary though xD) 4)I'm a Legend of the Seeker fan without having seen a single episode, yet. What can I say? the power of women in leather kicking asses and being adorable is beyond imaginable. 5)Ellen Page is my girlfriend. She just doesn't know it, yet. xD
So, I'm gonna go back reading and texting with people I'm not supposed to be texting all the time (but I am, because I'm stupid like that xD). Take care :P I'll try to update sooner than that. Oh right, I know I am a tad late, but: HAPPY NEW YEAR!(Let's hope it's MY year! Keep your finger crossed.)
Oh, I finally met again a friend of mine who I met for the first time three years ago during an holiday. It was perfect. More to come later, maybe. I love making posts about friendship.
