Cake for lunch and public transportation

Oct 19, 2009 17:32

This actually has nothing to do with the title of this post.
I just enjoy life's little ironies very much.

Okay so on Saturday, my roommate Tammy and I decided to be brave and take public transportation for the first time since getting to this city. It's the first time I took public transit of my own volition since... never. Anyways, I was a little bit nervous about getting lost or worse, STRANDED in this unfamiliar place. BUT. I MADE IT IN THE END OKAY. Here are pics from my phone of the delicious adventure.

Proof that I was on the bus.

Hit up JJ's bakery, which is an Asian bakery and JUST LOOK AT IT.

Mmmm s-so good....
On the wall opposite of the cake display was a wall full of BREAD.
Not like, loaves of bread you see in Western bakeries; this was the legit snack bread kind that came individually wrapped, in all sorts of shapes and sizes with all sorts of delicious sounded fillings. HEART POUNDING.

My lunch. I dearly love crème brûlée. ;__;

The other half of my lunch. Chocolate strawberry mousse cake.
You can see the empty tin next to it heehee.

My roommate's lunch. Hoho. Why is cake so good ;_;

All gone. ;A;

We went next door to the 99 ranch market to stock up on Asian food for emergencies, in case our meal swipes ran out or if the commons were closed o-or if we just wanted asian stuff to eat okay?
LOOK KIMCHI. IT WAS KIND OF EXPENSIVE BUT THERE IS A LOT.
There is also tofubean noodles under there. Dunno what it's called in English. In Chinese it is called 豆腐干.
Also a bottle of honey, fancy-looking instant udon and calpis water and dried squid ;____; <3

Green tea, instant wonton noodles (they were on sale + a bonus package ahhhhh <3), tomato pretz
I miss Asian food man. Dining hall needs to have a multicultural food day.

This last picture is actually from yesterday. I went to the bookstore to pick up a book for Enlgish and I was passing a table with comic books on it, but smack dab in the middle was this VEGETARIAN COOKBOOK. I could not help but find that a little bit funny.

Oh this haha.
I was talking with wasil about playing Aion and how cool it looks and I badly I want to play as a tank.
W-well, I looked at the official art and the girl templar has openings in her full body armor in several of the most crucial places.
I mean, come on. How impractical can it be?

Then again, at least it's not like those designs for female thief class characters of any generic Korean MMO.
They wear nothing but tights or something. I stray arrow can pierce through that bro.

OKAY cripes guys, I have 2 midterms next Monday, one of them for CALC I really hope I can get a good score. I did pretty bad on my chem one. Hoho. BYE STUDYING.
