I'm baaaaaaaack!
Just got into P-Town about an hour ago and I have to tell you that I am SOOOOO glad to be back! Had a fabuloso holiday at my parent's house on San Juan Island and stuffed myself on Thanksgiving-ish foods. For Thanksgiving I made the apple pie (yes, from scratch... it was devoured within minutes). And then for my Dad's surprise b-day party I made a berry cheesecake (not completely from scratch but very tasty and gone within minutes as well). I managed to not get too stressed about all the people in the house (12 for Thanksgiving, 13 for my Dad's party). This morning I travelled by car, ferry and train to get back to Portland. (Had to get up at 4:45 AM btw... uuuuugh.)
Now I'm happily blasting Doc Severinsen (my trumpet hero) with the Tonight Show Band whilst cooking pasta and baking cookies. Tonight I'll watch some Dawson's Creek (3rd season), get some homework done, and ready myself mentally for Dead Week. Oh, also, Midnight Breakfast is this Tuesday night... Anyone going?
