Current high gas prices are NOT a result of price gouging!! We have recently had 2 massive hurricanes in the area where almost all of our domestic oil is refined. The oil from this area makes up 10% of the oil that we as a country use. Basic economics anyone? When supply decreases, and demand stays the same or increases, price also increases. I'm sorry folks, that's how it works. Not to mention, price gouging isn't something that happens throughout an entire nation, unless the item in question is monopolized. price gouging in florida/louisiana, where people have no choice but to fill up if they want to get away? potential for price gouging. price gouging in west michigan, where you're driving the same 150 miles a week that you always do? not so much.
in other news, i started a new job today. i build crappers. it's ok.
