This is really great. I love your take on Faith and where this thing with Wesley could've gone. The banter is great, but also just sorta bitter and sad, you know? "You make it sound so simple." :( I've always loved the idea of these two mentoring each other after every awful thing they went through/did to one another.

I was going for bitter and sad, so I'm glad that worked. I really love the idea of them finally being able to kind of help one another despite all the shit they've put each other through, it makes me sad that after the few episodes she was in season 4 of Angel, we never get to see more of that aspect of their relationship.

Yay! This is lovely. I love late-season Faith, more functional than she's ever been and trying to do things right and not entirely certain how to do that, but trying. And that's how she is here, in spades.

And I love this bit:
We could be like a crime fighting duo you see in movies, the Slayer and her alcoholic ex-Watcher.

Alas, I missed that movie! But there is such lovely symmetry in him being her Watcher again, except this time for real.

Later season Faith is definitely my favorite, both to watch and write just for that reason.

Maybe? I'm definitely not adverse to revisiting this idea if more comes to me. I definitely love the idea of exploring them working together more.

To be perfectly honest Wes/Faith are my 2nd fave whedonverse ship, (I think you know numero uno) so whenever I see anything for them I go all keyboard smashy because THEY ARE SO FORGOTTEN I DON'T EVEN CARE IF THEY HAD BARELY ANY SCENES LEGIT SHIP IS LEGIT. Anyway this is so so perfect and she comes to stop him moping and and he almost smiles and she wants to help but she doesn't know why and just wow I really like this a lot and when it isn't 2:30 in the morning I'll rec it over at AI because this is fantastic and one of these days I'm going to make Wes/Faith graphics and find out if there are many shippers and it will be wonderful and I am so sorry for this incredibly long, probably off topic and way too capitalized response but I'm just happy is all.

And I really need to get me a Faith/Wes icon hey!

God Wes/Faith are a couple I love so much despite...the little we get to see of them in canon. Like I can't even coherently explain why I love them so much but they were just so fucking perfect. Like it's a hard call for me if I ship Wesley with Lilah more or Faith, but you know, since Lilah dies, if they had moved him on with Faith I would have been a okay with it. I always wanted her to be around to see how he ends up in season 5 so I love..writing that and making it happen. And I'm so glad you like it, And you should make graphics. ALL OF THE GRAPHICS.

I am so getting onto some graphics of them soon, there are so many caps too pretty to waste! And I ship Wes/Faith more than Wes/Lilah, though I love them too, the poor boy doesn't get much luck in that department huh! I can just see them gravitating towards each other in a season five fantasy world, in which I FREQUENTLY proclaim that Faith should have been in season five instead of Spike. Anyway so so enjoying the Wes/Faith love and can't wait to see what you come up with next!

And yes, graphics must be a go! Wes has like,.the worst luck in love, I swear.I too often wish Faith had been around in season five instead of Spike. Like, my dream version of season 5 involves Cordelia being around for more than one episode, Lilah being the laison instead of Eve, and Faith being there instead of Spike. So basically, my version of season five involves a lot more fierce women.
